EU & Dutch digital sovereignty
Sovereignty means retaining meaningful control over technology, data, access, continuity, and supplier choices—not simply choosing a European hosting location.
For Dutch and European organisations, the operating model should make clear where data is stored and processed, which legal entities can access it, which subcontractors are involved, and how privileged work is approved. These choices belong in the architecture, contracts, and day-to-day procedures.
KLIM IT can operate within customer-defined boundaries: named systems, delegated roles, approved maintenance windows, documented escalation paths, and auditable changes. The customer can retain ownership of identities, policies, encryption decisions, backups, and recovery priorities.
Swiss regulated environments
Swiss organisations may need an operating model that supports privacy, telecommunications secrecy, critical-infrastructure obligations, and strong control over external access.
A practical model starts with least-privilege access, separation of duties, customer approval for sensitive changes, and a reliable record of who accessed which system and why. Local teams should retain a clear override and escalation path when a supplier or remote operations team is involved.
KLIM IT can align monitoring and support workflows with these controls while keeping accountability visible. The customer and its legal or compliance advisers remain responsible for determining which Swiss requirements apply and how they must be implemented.
Albania Law No. 25/2024
KLIM IT’s Tirana operations sit within Albania’s strengthened cybersecurity framework while the country continues its formal path towards EU membership.
Law No. 25/2024 increases attention on cybersecurity governance, risk measures, continuous monitoring, incident handling, resilience, and coordinated reporting. For an operational team, that translates into clear responsibilities, repeatable procedures, maintained evidence, and escalation paths that work under pressure.
KLIM IT uses the Tirana hub as an operational capability within the customer’s wider governance model. Applicable reporting duties, sector requirements, and contractual responsibilities should be established during service design rather than decided during an incident.
Albania has held EU candidate status since 2014, and formal accession negotiations began in July 2022. Albania has publicly set an ambition to become an EU member by 2030, but this is a political target rather than a confirmed accession date. Membership depends on continued reforms, completion of the negotiating process, approval by every EU member state, and ratification.
Sovereignty by architecture
The strongest sovereignty model does not depend on promises alone. It is built into identity, approvals, logging, recovery, and the ability to change suppliers.
A customer-controlled architecture can keep core authority with the organisation while delegating precisely scoped operational work to KLIM IT. Engineers receive the access needed to monitor, support, and restore services, but policy ownership and high-impact decisions remain with the customer.
The same principle applies to continuity and exit. Documentation, configurations, backups, runbooks, and operational knowledge should remain usable if responsibilities move to another team or supplier. A service is more sovereign when it can be recovered and transferred without avoidable dependency.
